pigsar™ is one of the world’s leading high-pressure test facilities for gas meters. In association with and under the control of the Federal Institute of Physics and Metrology (PTB), pigsar™ conducts calibrations and verifications as an independent laboratory.

National Standard
As the National Standard of the Federal Republic of Germany for High-Pressure Natural Gas, pigsar™ is responsible for maintaining the reference value for unit of volume for high pressure natural gas and passing on this reference value to other laboratories. Thanks to its responsible performance of these tasks, pigsar™ creates the prerequisites for the smallest possible measurement uncertainties in energy metering and thus for the correct billing and balancing of transported gas volumes.
